In 2007, I began my degree in vocal performance at the world renowned Westminster Choir College music conservatory. What followed was an intensive four year “music boot camp” of sorts during which I decided I wanted to work towards my masters in music therapy, and help others using my craft. I graduated in 2011, summa cum laude from the honors program and began my creative arts therapy master’s degree shortly there-after at Drexel University, where I practiced music therapy with various populations in need including elderly adults, teens, and of course, young children. In 2013 I began teaching music privately and have since taught hundreds of students looking to improve their musical skills in the Downingtown area. We have since performed throughout Chester county at local venues like musical festivals and farmers markets, and DoRayMi lessons has been voted the best in Downingtown two years in a row.

My experiences working at the Philadelphia Family Court with parents and children were especially rewarding to me, and compelled me to find other opportunities to do similar work, which is why I am hosting this class!
